Remember to take some toys!!!
We first took DD when she was 6 mths old and we used a normal travel cot for her to sleep in with a grobag and blankets. I took the gel type room thermometer to keep an eye on the temperature. You may need take a dark blanket to throw over the travel cot for when you first put them down because it can be really light at 6.30pm!
she had only just started weaning on the first trip, so we took her bouncy chair which meant we could feed her and it additionally helped when we just needed to 'plonk' her somewhere.
the second trip was when she was 7.5mths and we took the antilop highchair from ikea - fabulous piece of kit.
I think, just remember you need layers to keep them warm at night, shade to keep them cool during the day (if you ehu then a fan is good) or you can buy those cooling sprays which you spray in the air. Think of what and how you are going to feed them and the equipment you might need.
Also, think about how you are going to bath them. the two sites we've been to had a family room with either a baby bath or a large sink, but we also take our food in a plastic lidded box, which we could use as a bath if needs be. We can also use it as a 'paddling pool' or water play time.
remember your buggy for early morning walks or when they just won't settle.
I love remembering camping last year and the early mornings. DD would wake up at about 6.30am and I would feed her in bed (I BF), then DH or I would take her for a walk in the buggy. then back to the tent, and I would sit in my chair watching the campsite come alive whilst giving DD her morning milk - bliss! Although people would walk by and say morning or wave or whatever than have that really bemused look of 'is that woman BF her baby?'
Also, your baby wakes in the night still for milk, then you'll need a blanket or a fan heater (we've got one!) to keep you warm as you are sat their. It's bliming freezing at 2am even in the middle of summer!
You'll love it and the baby will love it!
