Too far for go outdoors, might be able to find something nearer though. We will need a regulator as well.
Don't mind changing bottles, it's not exactly nice looking, might get a tidier one
Thank you very much.
Unless you intend camping in France etc, then I would go for BP GasLite for UK, twice as much Gas for half the price, ie 5kg of BP will cost £15, and 2.7kg of CampinGaz will cost £18 also the BP Cylinders have a window so you can see how much Gas is inside, the BP Cylinders are made out of some kind of GRP plastic material. HomeBase stock them and normaly chuck in a free regulator with your first purchase, also I think HomeBase have a 15% of promo running at the moment, the BP is propane high pressure and the CampinGaz is Butane low prssure, thats the reason for different regulators, the BP use a clip on regulator and the CampinGaz use a screw on regulator. hope that helps.

We won't be going abroad, plenty to see in UK for us.
We have a homebase on our doorstep, more or less, so we will call in there and have a look. With being plastic, will be much lighter as well.
Great site this, I have learned quite a lot coming on here.
Thank you very much.
Campingaz bottles are filled & delivered in the UK by Calor. They are the most expensive gas bottles to exchange & only worth actually buying if you are camping in Europe as well, as they are the only bottles exchangable thruout Europe. BP Gas Light are also available in other countries but not France yet.
If you already have the bottle & you will only be using about 1 per season you might as well stick with the Campingaz bottle. Any camping/caravan showroom/shop will exchange Campingaz bottles & you can also buy a regulator & pipe there. Campsite shops normally do campingaz refills as well.
