Hubby always complains about back ache when sleeping on an airbed so I've bought him a camp bed. It seemed quite comfortable in the shop but what are they like for a whole night?  Any opinions greatfully received please.

We have a couple of the Outwell ones similar to what the army are using out in the field camps, we use them out in the awning for when our daughter comes to stay with us, her partner suffers with back problems so we bought some 3inch foam block to fit and sewed a cotton pillowcase type cover for it, now its just as warm and  comfy as the beds at home, and the foam block just rolls up for travel and is secured by bungee cords before being placed inside the caravan with the awning.

We use boxed airbeds on top of campbeds, they fit perfectly, we'd never go back to anything else.  We'd tried the double height airbeds but had nothing but problems, since we switched to airbeds on campbeds we've never looked back. They also have the advantage of being at bed height, you're off to floor so it's warmer and you can use the space underneath for storage.  I love mine so much I don't like going home to my proper bed!!
