We are looking to buy a microwave for the caravan - general requirements - low wattage & small size - has anybody got any recommendations please

No recommendations but i guess you know its not the headline power that counts ie 800w microwave will consume more than that,check on the back where actual consumption will be marked

a bad days camping is better than a good day at work
Our new to us came with a micro that I think is a small Asda one, it has actual consumption of 1200w although it's only 700w, previous owners used it with no problems and I'm going to try it this weekend probably, I'll just make sure there's nothing else plugged in at the time!
had a look on ebay they have got microwaves rated at 550w peak 900w so you could easily use that on any ehu and not have to unplug everything on most ehu.6amp=1400w 10amp=2400w 16amp=3600w.
Cooksworks low wattage one from Argos, got it recently, about £35!

Small size , but as its a cheap one it does take a little longer to cook things than our one at home . very simple controls, no buttons , 2 knobs to turn . 1 to select high , low or defrost and the other 1 for minutes.
