Using just a sheet on top of an airbed will not be warm enough .the cold from the ground will come straight through the airbed. put a picnic rug (the plastic or foil backed ones from aldi or lidl are very good , or a fleece blanket on top of airbed under the sheet.
better still use another duvet instead of a sheet and then a duvet over you if you really dont want to use sleeping bags. this way , you'll have the sleeping bag effect, warmth under as well as on top , without the constriction. a single duvet covers a double bed just about perfect.
You could buy or make fleece liners to go inside the kids sleeping bags and take extra blankets to go over them. Or wrapping a fleece blanket around them before they get in the sleeping bag helps too, again ,use a picnic rug or fleece blanket under the sleeping bag on whatever beds they have.
Fleece blankets are really cheap in ikea or primark, from about £3 each, so get plenty , better to have too much bedding than not enough.
Take hot water bottles . very comforting on cold damp nights, and nice to have behind you in your chair, while sitting out before you go to bed too.
