Any gas cartridge with the EN417 type valve will do. It doesn't have to be Cadac branded.
Coleman cartridges will do the job just fine.
You'll be able to get them in most camping shops (Blacks or Millets, for example).
I thought they used large blue canisters so never bought one. I use Coleman propane/butane for F1 Lite stove and butane for other Coleman stove and lantern. Can they, are something similar run on propane?

Cadac Safari HP takes the Coleman 70/30 Butane/Propane gas canisters that use on their F1 range of lantern and stoves.
I got a F1 lantern and a Spirit stove so that I do not have to carry separate gas supplies when space is limited, as they are small and take up hardly any space!

that's why I would prefer a LP version, we already have a propane bottle for the stove, and when we upgrade to a fridge next year we won't need extra gas supplies!
