Just a quick review of our new awning. After much deliberation we opted for the carnival and used it for 3 nights this weekend.

Left the instructions at home so that was not the best of starts however, my wife and I had it up in windy conditions in around 15 minuts and fully pegged in 25 minutes total.

The weather was wet and windy for most of the weekend and it stood up to it niceley.

All in all very pleased and purchased from outdoor megastore via the link on here for £579.00.

I'll reply.

I thought the awning was great mate, but not as good as the Taunton Dry Blackthorn!!

Just come back from 5 nights in Weymouth and had a Kampa Carnival awning that was thrown in with the van we bought as the offer one was out of stock. Overall very pleased with it but noticed daylight at one of the end zips, although we thought it was just the zipper not closed. This then turned into daylight up the entire length of the reinforced plastic panel on the lower section of the awning and closer inspection showed that the zip was fraying away from the awning and was only being held by a clear plastic sort of mesh. Giong to take it back to Broad Lane caravans and see what they say. It was pegged out okay and not under any sort of stress or high winds although it was gusting at times. Had some over the top storm straps in place so it wasnt blowing around. Hoping its just a rogue one as the rest seemed okay.
