Has anyone got one of these? We are looking into getting one, with 2 sides and we would like to know what are the down points to it?  Or is it as good as it seems?!!  Also, where is the cheapest place to get one from??

Thanks

jodie

I saw one in the flesh at Camping World at Frensham. I have to say I was really tempted as it looks ideal for shelter at a BBQ or an event (that must be why they called it the event shelter! LOL). They have pics on Amazon and also have the sides and door.

They are a bit massive - you might have to pay for another pitch for it

The couple next to us had one of these on shell island last year, they are mahoosiv. they had all their kitchen gear and table ect underneath it and it looked fantastic.
HOWEVER- these things just dont do wind, yes the wind at shell island is legendary for destroying tents and this particular night it was fairly bad but not the worst Ive encountered; the whole structure just ended up a twisted mass of broken poles. They didnt have any sides on it, just used windbreaks round the cooking area, my heart went out to them as they had a couple of young kids with them and a fairly small bell tent (which did survive). Luckily the guy was handy with a tarp and fashioned them a sun shade , we did get some sun after all!!!

Anyhow I digress, great for sheltered areas but deffo wouldnt use anywhere exposed.
