ok so it probably been asked before but im a newbie to camping and computers so forgive me .

Have just returned from weekend away camping an loved it looking to go in two weeks time but the other half asked about a tv for if we get dodgy weather. Have purchased a mobile mains kit and thought i could just plug tv in and away you go, but starting to have my doubts after reading a few comments on forum

Will small portable work with a  decent aerial

you might have a problem with the digital signal, so if you have a digi telly and aerial you should be ok.

If the TV doesn't have a built in freeview tuner then a "set top" digital  tuner will do - available forabout £15.

Always assuming of course that where you go camping has turned off the analogue signal. If not then any tv will do.

Hi if its a digital tv you should be ok.  Out of season we take the kids 15" LCD from their playroom it is digital with integral dvd player.  All we take with that is a Maplin One for all flat aerial which is very compact and if theres a good signal to be had on the site it will pick it up.   You do have to retune the set so don't forget the remote control.
