I was in Go again and I noticed this sold under the high gear brand for £35 It folds very flat and as space is at a premium I am considering getting it to replace the Aldi one I bought a few years ago.
If you have it is it any good - I notice the add says burners are 2.3kw and the hi gear one (not on the website yet as far as I can see) is 1.5kw
Hi we purchased an Aldi unit a couple of years ago, good stove but bulky to lug about. So a couple of months ago our local camping store Kool Kamping were having a sale on the Kampa (Alfresco) version of the Gelert stove you mention (same stove just re-badged). They were on offer for £29.99 so we bought one. Only problem I can see with it is the grill, not as good as the Aldi stove. Just checked on their site, still £29.99 but out of stock.
If you only want a grill for toast , then get a double burner without a grill and use a one slice folding toaster . these are brilliant, and make great toast in about 10 seconds. they go on the hob, gauze side down , bread on top of wire grid, not in the middle, cooks in seconds.
a double burner without grill is much smaller depth and can be bought for about £20.here
I thought I'd risk it and bought it today, it is so much smaller than the aldi one and with the toddler space is at a premium. Will get a chance to test it out at the end of the month (had a quick check to see that all the burners are working - they are)

on the model you have do you have to pull the hose off and on all the time - one thing I like about the aldi one is that you connect the hose to a screw on connector.
Ohh, what a cute little cooker. Must keep that in mind for the day I need a new one. (Not anytime soon...got four cookers at the last count...) I do agree about the grills being useless for grilling though. But they're not bad for keeping food warm for a wee while.

Yes we do, unfortunately, we need the space so have to take the small downsides
By the way Kool Kamping do the carry bag for the Alfresco which would also fit your stove, I'm sure it was less than a fiver when we bought it, made of tough canvas with two carry handles, just offers some protection for the stove.

its similar to the camping chef which is cheaper actually. i do like the black and silver though.
The difference is how small it folds down to, which is why we bought it - save a lot of space just a pity you have to keep "yanking" off the hose all the time.
Will get it's first outing at the end of the month.
Hi the Gelert/high gear twin burner and grill will be £19.99 in Go outdoors from 7th-13th of June but it's only with a voucher that I got with my local paper....I have had the usual mailshot from Go but the offers aren't in there
