Hi

We have done a lot of research and have decided to get a Kampa Filey 6. However, we can't decide between the now cheaper 2009 model and the new 2010. The big difference seems to be the sleeptite system. However, there are no stockest near where we live that have both to compare (not even different berths). So does anyone know whether the sleeptite system is worth an extra £100? Or if you have a 2010 model with the sleeptite system (any berth) could you tell me if the sleeping compartments are really dark enough to make a difference?

thanks

Haven't slept in our Kampa Bude yet (first trip - early June), but the reflective coating on the inside of the front of the inner tent and the grey/silver fabric elsewhere in the inner tent will certainly make it darker than the cream inner tent we have on our Vango Columbia. The reflective front should also help keep it cooler. I believe that some of the bigger tents also have a special coating on the inside of the flysheet around the inners. Have you looked at the photos I put on the review page for the Bude 4 - may be they'll help (sorry some are on their side - only realised after uploading them).

Helen
