Hi

Sorry if this is a dumb question but we've just bought a Halfords electric cool box (from ebay!) ready for our first camping trip this weekend! Does anyone know if it needs a Halfords mains adapter (£25) or whether there a (cheaper!) alternative which will fit?

hi there is a link to coolbox on the next page hope this will be some help as i cant see why you should have to have the Halfords one as they are all 12v .

here a cheap one


all cigarette lighter fittings are the same on all the coolboxes so no problem .

Thanks so much Dizzysam and Beefysmum - didn't realise you actually plug the mains adapter into the cigarette lighter lead and not the cool box itself, doh  ... so the one I've ordered should be fine, let's just hope it arrives in time now! Thanks

On the same lines, the 12V cable that plugs into the coolbox on mine has a break in it near the coolbox end.  This needs replacing.  Halfords sell them for £20, an insane price for what it is considering the cool boxes themselves start at £35!  Has anyone found a cheaper one anywhere?
