Can anyone reccomend an alternative to a Gazebo?

Looking for something which can carry well in the back of a vehicle with other camping equipment.

Use of the gaezebo is normally at event shows as a shelter, so has a table in, etc. Gazebos are just impractical to carry in a boot of a car (quite large packed), and also not great in wind.

I have seen the Coleman Event Shelter, but difficult to tell how big they are packed? Also anyone any experience of them in the wind?

I have got an outwell Okalahoma day tent and it is great, a gazebo that is designed for use on the campsite, it is 3mts X 3mts and a pack size of   30 x 70 cm  and it is a very versatile bit of kit

How about a Quechua 2 seconds base available from ebay but also from Decathlon shops if you've got one nearby. It's 5m sq and there's an XL version too. There's some great videos of the setting up and taking down on Youtube.

Rig a tarp off the side of the car.

Otherwise, if you want something that provides the same shelter as a gazebo, in a smaller/lighter package, and survives the weather better you may be out of luck.

My opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it.
