You'd need to keep the sun shade low on that one so you couldn't see all the other campers laughing at you.

I have a camping hat. It's straw, large brimmed and it hides hair that hasn't seen a brush in two days.

Frome - just what I was thinking!  Although here speaks the lady with potentially a baby's brolly attached to her chair...  :S 

Hat = perfect idea.  Particularly from the point of view of lack of brushing!! 

Frome- thought it was just me that used a big hat to hide the mess attached to the top of my head.

We have a big king sized sheet and use of a night pegged to the inside ot the tent to provide a modesty screen for the loo, as it was soooooo sunny and my OH melts in the heat we pegged it to the front of the tent canopy and then to a couple of the guys and it worked a treat to provide a lot of shade. saddo that I am I bought a colour sheet that matches the tent perfectly so it looked the part too, will be using it in future instead of the pathetic excuse for shade that is the 'wynnster leisure shelter'

I usually move my chair around to the shaded side of the tent or sit inside with all the doors open, but wouldn't an ordinary fishing brolly work?

You can either push the spiked pole into the ground or tie it to your chair (or both). You can also guy it from the peg at the top of the brolly and it will swivel to any angle you require. I used to use one when I went fishing, rain or shine, and there is plenty of room underneath for a camping chair. Green won't look out of place on a campsite either
