I am going to Clipsby Hall in August pitch with no electric hook up,
Have got most camping equipment though do not have a coolbox, I have been looking at the Outwell 12/230v
Now I am sure I can use this as a normal coolbox with ice blocks but it seems to make sense that I could plug it into the 12v supply while traveling as I have a 4 hour journey. Just after some advice please on this box
I had one of these coolboxes, it stopped working after two days! I have just bought a campingaz 24 litre one, but in all honesty, I plugged it in at home to make sure it worked, and the noise was awful, it is very loud. Must admit, I think I would next time go for a three way fridge. Yes you can use it as a non electric coolbox, we had to when last one conked out
P.S. We went to Clipsby last year, very nice! And they have facility to put ice-pack in freezer.
I used one (now have tabletop fridge) and it was fine, didn't find it noisy, plugged it into the car on way down, kept everything cold as it should, was good coolbox imo
just bought one, tested it in the house for a day,[230 volt]8 de canted a few things from the fridge, 8 hours later put everything back in the fridge as cold as i put it in did not find it noisey.you can get the same cooler but in a lime green colour for 39.99,ten pound cheapr than the blue one
