Looks like its a trip to aldi for me then as those ones look great. Thanks to you all for all your help.
p.s. Will the LED ufo lights like the aldi one work off rechargable batteries?

Yep. Hubby just brought home a battery charger that runs off 12v as well as mains. It came with 4 rechargeable AA and 4 AAA batteries. (Lidl £15) Hoping it will pay for itself. lol. BTW, keep the batteries out of the lamps in transportation as they can switch on easily themselves. It's just a button press after all.

I hate to have to tell you this, but tesco have those chargers for £9.99, probably not the same, these run from 12v or a computer, via the USB, & (I think) mains as well, they had another model for £14.99 which was better, it was a faster charger & may have been the one which worked from mains as well, don't think the £9.99 one did, come to think of it.

Och well, I'll live lol.

It came with 8 Ni-MH batteries, 4 x AA 2300mAh, 4 x AAAmAh.     Charges 4 at a time, charging time between 1-3 hours. Seems Ok to me. 3 year warranty.

Oh, the tesco one only came with 4 AA batteries. The only thing the tesco one does is charge from a USB, which, when you think about it, really isn't as useful as it sounds. It would take ages & you'd more than likely have your computer plugged in to the mains anyway!
Sounds like you had the best deal there after all

Back on topic, I really want my UFO light now, I hope it doesn't take the full 20 days to arrive from Hong Kong! (I love a new gadget to play with!)
