took these bags away this weekend. no problem using at home with hoover. really worked a treat. problem was using our 12v pump that also deflates (according to instructions)ours unfortunately did nothing. can someone who uses these bags recommend a decent pump which will also deflate our vacuum bags to make full use of them.

I did this at the weekend and used the vacuum at the BP station close to the campsite to repack - worked a treat.

I was considering taking our Dyson DC16 which is strong enough but the connection to one of the bags wasn't great and you can use it for only 6 mins then a recharge is required

i don't think any 12v pump will have the power to suck down a vac bag .you could use the bags that vac or role to displace the air or maybe a manual pump would do a better job.the one i use on my inflaterble boat works well.

I used our Coleman 12v Quickpump which worked well while squashing and squeezing our vac bags. Fair enough it doesn't have the poke of the Dyson but does an adequate job when packing away on site.

I had the same problem too.  In the end i just had to take the cap off and squeeze out what air i could, which done an alright job, but no where near as good as my hoover.

I wonder if it one of those little hand held hoover things would work??

i have 2 types of vac bags the , i use my 12v inflator/deflator  on both the ones with the screw on caps dont work that well ,and the ones with the type of zip on to work fine , while deflating i get kids to sit on them as well and dont seem to have problem , i also do it through zip thing with the cap type , like you say they don't go down as much as at home but they go down enough and with kids jumping up and down on them it knocks a little bit more air out ,and every bit counts lol
