Bought this Outwell Cahors BBQ and used it only once. On first use the paint started to melt and peel off giving off a noxious fumes, possibly toxic to food. Once the paint had melted off the bbq fucntioned but now has no outer coating to the metal and is already starting to look rusty. Was this just a faulty one or have others had the same experience?
Funny enough, I didn't get one with the magazine but bought one at Go Outdoors, and mine did exactly the same. Chucked water over it to put it out and the metal twisted so I couldn't use it again if I tried. I was to scared to cook on it because of the fumes and the possible affect on the food. Keep meaning to take it back to the shop but always run out of time. I feel it was a total waste of money.
We bought one of these last year and have experienced the same problems as those mentioned above. The metal is completely twisted and is now a nasty burnt orange colour!
This is a shame because the design is very clever - it folds completely flat but ours is unfortunately going in the bin now
I often get a copy of Camping Magazine, but did wonder about the inducements to subscribe.
I'll get the October one on Thursday.
I'll stick to my Bluet and Gamping Gaz Bistro burners.
I was tempted to get a flat bread toasting device, that was on offer in Millets last Saturday. But decided the extra gas to make a slice or two of toast, would be excessive. (But don't tell my wife, she loves toast for breakfast)
