Val's sieve is a POPware HERE'S THEIR SITE Tesco are selling them for £16, and as much as I want/need one, even I can't justify that price. I will be camping when Lidl get them in, but I will google for the nearest store to the campsite! Having said that, I may give my local carboot a visit in the morning, you never know - £2.50 sounds to good to miss.

Sounds like Val goes to a better class of car boot than the ones I've seen.   

Thanks Zenobia, bit steep for me for a single kitchen item, well maybe I'd pay that for a good knife but not much else.

Is a very classy car boot!

Furnace End in Warwickshire, has loads of stalls selling new items as well as the normal car boot stalls

Even has a bar now so the women can leave the blokes while they mooch around...

A half way solution between Val's and the Lidl one may be this.

It's £4 plus £2.49 postage, not sure if the postage gets combined if you buy other stuff at the same time. It doesn't go seem to go as flat as Val's one but should be fine. I guess I'll find out when it arrives.

Yay! Managed to get one of THESE today from the Procook shop in the Salford Lowry centre. I paid £12 and worth every penny! No more picking grass out the food because the colander tipped over. They also had the one with a handle for £6, but it was the folding legs that swung it for me (and it was bigger.

Never thought I'd get so excited about a colander!

I got a pink and white collapseable sieve (same as the black & white one) for a few quid at Wilko's. Pretty sure it was less than a fiver.
