I am looking for a bit of help trying to decide on which tent to buy, I have narrowed it down to the Gelert Meridian 10 and the Sunncamp Mercury 1000.

I like both models, Because i have had Gelert tents in the past im tempted to go for the meridian, but I think it looks like there are too many vents, which would make it cold at night given any bad weather and also catch the wind.

The sunncamp has less vents and the bedrooms seem better quality, but not sure on the quality of Sunncamp tents overall, it is slightly smaller in width than the meridian, but i can live with that as long as the build quality is as good as the Gelert.

Can someone give me their opinion on whether the sunncamp is a safe option to invest in.

Our first tent was a Sunncamp APS 3006+ which was a great family tent and very good quailty. Lasted a few years before the mice decided they liked it too!!

No experience of Gelert tents I'm afraid but I can vouch for Sunncamp.
