had a close up look at the human comfort SIM yesterday and was quite impressed at a simliar price as the thermarest seemed to be thicker at 10 cm and loved the zip on fleece and memory foam. seems comfy and cosy.

Thanks you. DD is going to be sleeping in an underbed tent this summer, she is going to try her airbed, but I think she'll find it too deep, shes about 5'5" already. I have promised and extra comfortable mat if she does need something else, instead of buying a bedroom annex for the trailer tent!
I've just been looking at memory foam bed toppers though, we already have a basecamp thermarest, I'm wondering if I could buy memory foam topper and make a fleece cover instead.
We have 2 fat airics from Alpkit which we put into a cheap sleeping bag to keep them together - best camping nights sleep ever. We had 3 different airbeds over the years, and I never once got a proper nights sleep. Alpkits stuff not cheap, but quality and customer service is second-to-none.
