I am thinking of buying a couple of royal commander chairs off the Internet. The problem is some fold up chairs have narrow and low backs and can be uncomfortable for people with broad backs. If any one have one of these chairs I would be grateful for any comments.
I've got the same ones optical and found them very comfy last week.
Only issue might be that I found the front of the chair very tight, so after a while my wife found her legs getting pins & needles (she's only 5'2"). Not such an issue for me.
Now that we're back, we're using the in the conservatory until some new furniture arrives
Both Mrs Bonzo and I tried this chair. She is 5'6" and I am 6' - no problems at all and heaven knows we have tried enough different ones. Now all we have to do is save up for them
Yep, we have had the Royal Commander chairs for two years now and very comfy, although as identified, if you have shorter legs, you do end up dangling them!
We have since bought Royal President chairs for the kids, which were on offer and I actually prefer these now for myself as the seat is a bit lower and you are able to snuggle back into them more than the Commander chairs, although OH is a big guy (height and weight)and prefers the Commanders, especially the solid arms which give more support.
I would recommend if able to try out lots of chairs first(which OH did after trying the Commander, didn't know what they were called at the time and spent the rest of the summer testing out camping chairs till he found them again!!)
How big are these Commander chairs when they're packed up? Looks like that could be just the thing to take on my next camping trip, scheduled for 2 weeks after hernia surgery!

Not that heavy but they are actually quite bulky, though they fit in a foldup chair 'bag' , at work till late so cant realy measure them for you.
I know if youve had a hernia though i wouldnt want to carry more than 1.
we have them and love them! my husband has a degenerative disease and can't get out of the soft armed chairs BUT he can with these, they feel solid and safe to sit it and i can curl my legs up and snuggle in the morning in them! caravantech-shop.co.uk do sometimes sell them as seconds - manufacturing marks on the arms (which are practically invisible) for £19.99
