Can anyone please recommend a camping chair that reclines slightly. I have a problem with my spine and I find the usual compact camping chair to be too upright which causes discomfort, so I need support particularly for my lower back, although I can use a cushion for extra padding.

I have been looking at the Easy Camp Hi back chair and also the same one with the footrest. Does anyone have one of these and would you recommend it? The price of these is around my budget - approx £25-30

Alternatively can anyone suggest something else suitable?

We go away at the end of next week for two weeks and need to find something very soon.

Thanks

I'm just a little confused, Wendy.  I don't think the Easy Camp Hi back is a recliner - unless I have the wrong one?  Is that not one of the chair-in-a-bag type.  Personally I don't find these type that good for a bad back.  I would have thought something more 'solid'.  There are so many threads about chairs on here. (See here)

I am quite pleased with our chairs: the Quest Sandringham range.  (See here)  They do them in a XL size too (footrest available for XL only).  They are just a little bit more than your budget, but are worth the extra IMHO.  I'm fairly large and the standard size is big enough for me.

Maybe I've got it wrong. I just thought they looked like they slope back a bit more than the regular type. It's hard to tell from pictures online though.

It's worth finding somewhere that have them in stock and going to have a look, but I stick by my first comment.  I wouldn't have thought this type of chair would give the right sort of support for a bad back.  We always keep a couple of these type (although admittedly, a cheaper version) in the back of the car in case we go out for the day, but when they've broken, I don't think I'll replace them with the same type.  After saying that I know there are many on here who like this type of chair - but I wouldn't think they are people with bad backs.  Perhaps someone will be along soon to prove me wrong?

Would you be kind enough to post a link/photo/ or details of the make/model etc.  I would be really interested to see them.  Many thanks.

Sorry bit computer illiterate, don't know how, should learn really.

if you go to blacks website they are the ones on the camping furniture page, the blacks recliner. they are supposed to come in black, red or pink but they only seem to have black.

The pack is the same size as our roll top table.

May be more than your budget, but these really are comfortable chairs. I am talking about the Dukdalf Blues with optional foot rest. The chairs are lightweight and fairly compact when collapsed.

They are sturdy and strong, have many recliner settings and feel nice and light when adjusting. The foot rest slides back and forth so can easily be adjusted for different leg length, and also makes it easy to slide out the way when you want to stand up.

Prices are around £50 for the chair, and £25 for the footrest.
