I currently have all the kitchen essentials and food etc in a couple of large plastic boxes with lids on, but im disabled and have a very bad back so bending down to the boxes all the time is really painful and spoiling our camping as i end up in agony.
Does anyone have any suggestions of easy to fold/store shelves/units etc that would be easy for me to use to stack everything higher so i dont have to keep bending down all the time to find stuff?? We dont have much more space in the car so it cant be huge (or expensive).
Hi, I use a plastic 4 drawer tower, small footprint in the tent but depends if you can get it in your car. Would 2 x 2 drawer towers be better for you?
B&Q drawer units pull apart and click back together again, so can be dismantled for packing away, the only big bits will be the drawers. Many years ago I got some shelf units with plastic ends that you pushed poles into and made into a cube, and put a wire trays on. they are still going strong, may be some thing like them still in stores. will try to find linky.
I take three or four collapsable boxes and turn them on their side and fasten them together with some of those plastic strap things. makes a natty little storage system and you can use the boxes for carrying gear to the site or fold them and store under your camping gear till needed.

I got this one last year and used it for the first time at Easter.
It was just short of £25 and packs really flat.
We bought it from an eBay seller from Wales who we have bought from before (business seller) and it arrived next day. I shall try and find it.
this is it but different seller at way different price here

A simple solution would be to use the same boxes but sit them on a table. Takes up the same floor space as you do now but saves bending.
These sat on a table with one on top of each other or side by side would also give you some height.
The problem with drawer units is you still need to bend down.
We use some of these for food, we tip everything into one for travelling and then stack two or three inside each other to save space.
