Hi, first post!

Has anyone seen the Skandika Isomatte Deluxe Self Inflating Mattress from Amazon uk? Looks like a good buy compared to the price of an Alpkit Dozer.

Any views?

Thanks.

Hi Tinus

I've just spotted that mat too - can you let me know what it's like when you receive your mats please? Need to get two next month (having had years of airbeds that puncture as soon as you put them on the ground!)but can't decide between the Airic, the Skandika or the Outwell Avantgarde. Would appreciate your review!

Thanks!

looked this morning and only 2 left, so we ordered them - hope Amazon get some more as they do look great. Will give some feedback when ours arrive in about a week

Do feel a bit bad about buying these though - as we were going to get the kids some funky Outwell ones. Now we have decided to pass on our 5cm self inflaters to them and then we can be more confy . . . are we bad parents ?

Nah! Kids don't really care what they sleep on really, they're too tired after a days adventuring to notice. Going to let mine out from the understairs cupboard now - time for their bed and water.

Look forward to your feedback!

took a week to arrive from Amazon as expected and pretty happy with them so far, will use them in anger very soon

Got two, simply opened the valves and left them on the floor for half an hour. One looks rather thicker than the other but even without extra blowing they are both super comfy. The one with more air feels like a firm mattress, the thinner one feels nice and soft. Guess they will even out with use

We already have Decathlon 300 5cm ones as a comparison. I would say the materials quality looks similar (fine) but the Skandika valves look stronger. Good tough grey casing, not particularly slippery. 10cm is lots comfier than 5cm. Size is 190 x 60 which is exactly what we needed in 200 sleeping pod and for my 6ft frame. Come with some cheap elastics to wrap them up (Decathlon has attached webbing straps, bit of a nuisance actually) not sure how long before the elastics get lost or broken - will need some proper webbing straps/buckles in time I reckon. Each has a little patch and glue set too, which hopefully wont be needed. They weight near 3kg each mind !

worth £100 each? No way, but currently back in stock for £34 on Amazon, for a decent nights sleep that seems a bargain. Nearest competition (not looked that hard) is a least £50 for Outwell 10cm I think, and most of the ones we have seen were 200 long (too long for us) or 50 wide (too narrow for anyone)

Guess we will have to get the kids a princess fitted sheet or something similar for their new Decathlon beds

We just got our new mattresses from Amazon - they sold out then got some more stock at the same bargain price of £34, so got two and they are very comfy! Agree with you re the straps but they'll do for now. We are off to Kelling Heath in Norfolk on the last Saturday of July so will post how we get on with them when we get back. Happy Camping!

I did received mine a while ago and tested them out in the living room! Nice and thick, made of quality material. Feels a bit like a firm mattress, but I guess you can deflate slightly to get it more comfortable. OH not so sure as she prefers to sleep higher up and would also prefer something wider for the two of us. So it looks like I'll use these for the kids and get us a Coleman Raised Queen Quickbed. Anyone happy with their Colemans?

Certainly better value for money than the more better known brands at £34 each!

The one in Netto is only 3cm thick! Can't compare it with the 10cm Skandika...

We bought four of the Skandika Isomattes.

Very happy with them. But we are putting them on top of camp beds as we can't stand the floor!
