Yes you will need a hose and regulator.Which regulator you need will depend on which type of gas you intend to use.

A popular choice of gas is calor butane like this as its readily available in the uk and cheap. If you intend going abroad you would be better off with camping gaz as its the main gas in france etc.

What you need to do is first source a bottle as thats the expensive bit. When you get a refill you take an empty bottle back but if not got a bottle then the first one is expensive as you pay more for the bottle. We got a 4.5 kg bottle off ebay for a fiver but others have mentioned you may be able ot pick one up from your local tips etc.Ours unfortunately wouldnt let us take one.

There are quite a few threads on gas etc if you search the forums but we use calor 4.5kg and it lasts long enough for our needs.Probably only used about a 1/4 of a bottle on our last 5 day trip using it everyday.

The short answer is yes to both questions your local calor centre will stock the correct hose lenghts and regulator plus you will need to pay a deposit on a cylinder and fill up, get the 4.5kg size its handier to carry and store as to the type of gas, Propane is better in cold weather but but i have used Butane in temps as low as -5 without trouble , your choice hope this helps you!  and by the way WELCOME! TO THE LOONEY BIN ! YOU WILL GET ADDICTED!

OP, your Ebay link for gas is for a refill, you need a empty bottle to exchange.

You have been very lucky then, I have used butane at +5 deg C with issues. OP if for all year round propane every time, if just summer use butane is OK.
