Hi all, we have been camping recently and several tents around us had TV's of some kind. A couple had portable aerials. Does anyone have any idea what sort of TV's these are and where is the best place to get them. Oh and also what sort of ampage would we be looking at for a normal electric hook up.

Normal portable tvs probably . thats what most people use.

we have one with built in freeview since the digi switchover .from argos .with a portable aeriel too .

depends on location as to how good the reception is.
never had any problem with using a tv on hookup ,as a tv doesnt take up as much power as a heater or kettle , never had a tv trip the electrics anyway .

i used a normal dvd tv with freeview box and booster aerail, they only problem we had was some place we could not pick up signal, this time i have got a usb dongle for my laptop and it picks the channels up with freeview already in that area when i do a scan, some area's have not got freeview yet though, worth doing a search on the area you are going to see what signal is being used
