Help! I am buying a 16 amp electric hook up for camping in July but have now noticed the site only have 10 amp supplies. Will my 16 amp hook up not be any good?
As said it will still work fine but you won't be able to run quite as much through it, 2.4kw will be your max on 10amp, just look at the base of any of your electrical stuff to see the rating and tot it all up bearing in mind that you have only 3 sockets.
By rights if you overload it then the ehu post will trip but I have come across quite a few posts on sites that are to say the least a bit dodgy, on one site three posts were wired into a 13amp socket inside a shed, if your doing everything by the book then you can't be blamed can you.

ooops never really looked at mine, dont know what it is. Does it really matter, will it be just low voltage or is it any danger??
If you have a "proper" one with RCD and MCB then you're fine. No worries about low voltage, as voltage is set by the electricity company. As said above, the only risk is that you overload it by plugging in too many appliances, and your box will "trip". Just unplug some things and reset the box. Simples.
