Hi not posted for ages but am always reading with interest.Just a quick question does anybody know what gas eurocamp use in their tents.I met a dutch family last year who cooked on a cdac bbq but connected it to the eurocamp bottleJjust wondered about different regulators.Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.
Most countries in Europe have their own domestic standard for gas bottle fittings. It seems odd that the EU can standardise all sorts of things, length & max bend allowance on Bananas, working time, civil rights etc. But really important stuff like electrical outlets, telephone sockets & gas connectors are still up to individual states to decide.
According to this Keycamp page, barbecues are included in the kitchen equipment (where permitted), so I'd assume they provide the appropriate regulator for their locally-available gas. Might be worth checking with them if you especially want to take your own barbecue.
Picking up on Steve McV's point... in this modern age, you'd think the world would have standardised on sensible standards for everyday essentials when they seem to have standardised on pretty non-essential ones!
Anyway, rant aside... just to make sure, my advice would be to ring the company and ask specifically just to make sure before you go.
