I promised some photo's of this the other day. Hubby picked this up, with the gas cooker (2 burner and grill) from our local recycling centre for £8.
The stand is fantastic, it packs down to about 2 inches deep, by about 3 foot high and about a foot wide, yet when unfolded produces a stand for our cooker (the Coleman fits beautifully), two "wings" and a cupboard are with solid shelves, plus it's a decent height.
I wondered if someone had an idea of the year of manufacture and what price it would have been, it's such a solid, well engineered thing that I imagine it was pricey!
Can't tell you anything specific but a couple of these have turned up on Ebay recently. The one you have looks fantastic though, well done. Is there a name anywhere?

It's really good quality and really sturdy, plus very well thought out..we've managed to scuff it against the side of the trailer so it's missing a bit of paint on the side now but it's in beautiful condition.
OH has found the instruction leaflet that came with it.
It's called a Kompact Kabinette and it was manufactured by T W Opher & Son Limited, Birchwood, Industrial Estate, Hatfield.
I've googled and there is absolutely no reference to Kompact Kabinette at all (except this thread now I imagine!) and T W Opher are no longer listed on Companies House.
Sounds like we have something quite unique - I'd love to know how it ended up in an Devon Recycling Centre!
We have one on these kompact kabinette too. Going to list on eBay later and will add item number when I have done it. It's in good condition just not got the little gas cooker for the top anymore. Chuffed we found another one as not seen it before and couldn't find anything on eBay like it
A little i found out about when they traded from and too

Not sure when they made these kitchens if they were into "Residents property management"
------------- Just because it didn't last forever, dosen't mean it wasn't worth your while
That looks fantastic. We have one of the hago kitchens - I wasn't sure about it when my husband bought it but I love it now.
It was unused in its box. We sprayed the windshield and made an oak worktop for it. We had just had solid oak flooring put down in our study and made it out of a few boards.
Makes you wonder why someone doesn't still make these older style items - they will go on forever, very strong and durable.
Hi, I have one from new, all original and still in use (bought by parents). Going from the address on the label it was bought around the mid 1960s. Label shows deposit £1 balance due £6-10-0, old money.
It was purchased from the Asbestos and Rubber Company in Hull and supplied By T W Opher and Son Ltd Hatfield.
