What do I need to consider? My son's sleeping bag is pretty warm (well padded & brush cotton lined) and as we are going to Italy next month where its averaging 33degs at the mo occasionally 38degs I think his brushed cotton bag will be a tad warm. What would you advise? We have cotton liners for all our bags for summer
It's cooler if you sleep under a cotton sheet than nothing at all. I've packed mine all ready for France & germany, mind you the nights look to be quite cool where we are going.

Hi thanks - we have the liners which can be used on their own if its really that warm but would prefer he had a sleeping bag aswell though as he's only 3.
Have you had a look at the Argos kiddie ones ? If you got a rectangular one, then it can always be used like a duvet and he can push it off if it's too warm. If he's on a SIM, then maybe a duvet from home would be enough ?

Got some really lightweight ones from Tesco back at Easter. They were on offer and only £5 each. Got them in pink and blue for our two. Would probably be no good for when its cold though. The 8 year old took his on cub camp back in May when it was a bit chillier in a tent, but he just took fleece blanket to put on top.

? Mr PP has just gone and bought another business, holiday?...we should be so lucky!
hi my kids have cheap tesco sbags, very thin but once theyve been washed a few times they go a little lumpy, but for £8 or there abouts you cant complain.
Thanks guys but Amazon had a Coleman Hudson Summer Junior bag reduced to £12.03 incl delivery so I've gone for that. I don't like the really cheapy bags brings back very scratchy memories of boating as a kid with my parents in them.
I must be lucky, all my childhood bedding memories are lovely ones, we had big German down duvets before they were ever introduced here, and summer weight ones that fitted into neat cotton covers. Yep, spoil him.
