The reason it always fits on the way back, well in our case at least, is that we have drunk the six boxes of lager, and all the wine. Obviously, this is bassed on a two day camp.
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
Personally I wouldn't bother with vac bags for my duvet. Too much effort if it rips when you are away. Also it doesn't matter if a duvet gets creased so I use a compression bag instead-
I can get two thick pillows and a 12.5 tog double duvet (with covers on) in that and it compresses up to an incredibly small size. The duvet and pillows MUST be feather though! Any kind of man made material just won't get into the bag in order to allow you to compress it.
Good for sailing trips too if anybody goes in for a bit of that. Guaranteed dry bedding every night :o)
I bought 4 vacu bag thingy's from Argos at the beginning of last yr. I av used them many times now and absolutely swear by them. They are brilliant. In mine I put all our fleece blankets, quilts for 5 of us, and mine and hubby's is Kingsize and 15 tog so takes full bag to it's self lol. I take 10 pillows for everyone too I certainly don't believe in roughing it and these are all bagged and sucked down. Just try them. Reviews I read weren't brilliant but thought would give them a go anyway and I av never looked back.
