Just about to buy my fist tent since childhood, (way back in a Vango Force 10), and have settled upon an Outwell Nevada M for me, the girlfriend and the dog. One question: I've read in the reviews here that there are a couple of small but significant improvements made in 2010 model over 2009, but is there any way I can tell which one I'm buying?
It's all to do with the porch canopy on the side door! if you do a search you will find several threads relating to it! We have the 2009 version and the door is really tight so we use the other door, not really a major issue.
I think the 2010 also comes with an internal pole that goes from front to back the length of the living area. I've just bought a nevada M but not had it out of the bag yet.

That is in the model we bought last year. We have the Mocha coloured Nevada M, think the 2010 models maybe blue.
Its the porch pole attachment that is different on the 2010.
We have the old version and to combat the tight door i have run a length of guy line through the porch pole sleeve.
When the tent is up and the porch pole is in its sleeve i just tension the guy line and tie it off.The porch pole is now tensioned against the guy line has opposed to the tent pole and door fabric.
Looks like we bought our 2010 model a year early then, we bought it end July 2009 and it is Mocha coloured and has the internal pole that runs from the front to the bedroom pod.
I have just bought the 2010 Nevada M from millets. We going on our first trip with it this week. . We built it up in the garden to test it out (with the help of the youtube vid) and it is surprising easy to erect.
I am just building up the camping chef to test it out. Getting the hose onto the stove is proving very hard work. Do I have to get it all the way on?
Thanks to everyone for replying to my original post - most helpful.
Glad to say we bought the Nevada M and have just got back from our first weekend away which, despite some pretty heavy downpours, was great. Really chuffed with the tent - plenty of room for two plus dog, even when the weather, (& your lack of suitable clothing for it), mean you've got to stay indoors.
