Sorry if this has been covered before, but can anyone recommend a 12v -240v converter that I can plug in to my car cigarette lighter to use with normal electrical equipment
I don't profess to be an expert on inverters but 200w might be a bit low as Maplins advertise one that does 6000W
I have one that does 300W and it runs my laptop no problem and will charge my camera batts as well HTH's Steve
------------- Nothing nada zilch no camping this year boohoo
Asda are doing a plug in ciggy lighter one at the moment for £5.00, bit cheesed cause I paid £15.00 last week for the same 1! Bloody Asda reducing their prices, they could of told me it'd be a tenner cheaper in a weeks time!
It'll run your laptop, charge your phones, run a small TV etc etc.

yes you can get high powered inverters but they have to be connected direct to battery.most car power outlets are rated at 150w/200w 0nly if you are running a 300w one best check your cars hand book.
