I'm looking to make my tent a little more cosy and wonder what people use as an alternative to expensive branded tent carpets

I just have picnic rugs. Not a perfect fit but cheap, available and cosy.

A lot of people use picnic rugs. It's July so supermarkets and similar will soon be selling these off at bargain prices to make way for Halloween costumes.

Maybe you could get a cheap, 2nd hand expensive branded tent carpet, and cut it to fit...

For the first time in three years we enjoyed the luxury of dry grass under our feet in the living area last week, still had the rugs in the bedroom though

I have a rag rug in mine, they fold up quite well,cheap & are very good at hiding any dirty footprints etc

We use a picnic rug, but I seem to remember my Grandad getting a "rug kit" one christmas so if you're one of the crafty types you can pick one with a picture or theme you like and as you do it over the winter months you can imagine what it will look like in your tent next year, and even better you'll have a rug that means something to you.

I use a fake fur throw on the floor to make the bedroom cosy. Just carpet or picnic rugs for the living area though.
