Hi all

Hoping to get a new coolbox before we go away in 2 weeks. Realy interested in either coleman xtreme 36qt or 50 qt or the igloo maxcold 50qt.

Pretty naffed off because I rang around a few local places so I could see these 'in the flesh' as I want to know how much usuable space there is in each, so which would be the best to get. One place I rang had all of them so we drove for 45 mins only to find that 'oh we had them yesterday' GRRRR I didn't ring yesterday I rang 45 mins ago!!

So still no closer to knowing which one we need. Dont want anything to huge as we dont have room for it, just wanted to know how much insulation was in each really, no point in a super dooper box to keep things cold for 5 days if theres only enough room for 2 days worth of food!

So does anyone have one of these, could you tell me how big they are inside?

Thanks a lot

hi

look at the igloo range of maxcold coolers we list the exterior in inches take 1" of all sides will give approx intrernal measurments the igloo range is the best cooler around the coleman range are bigger and have 2.5" for the walls and step down to 4" at bottom look at external measurements and do the same all coolers are measured in volume iinside the coleman is the difficult one to measure the igloo range are straight sided internaly and have a far more superior insulation to a coleman hence thinner walls hope this helps kevin

Hi, found a really local shop that had the coleman 50 in ....its a bit of a beast, dont think we'll have room for that. I agree Kevin the sides are quite thick and even thicker at the bottom, seems like wasted space. Thinking more along the lines of the 36qt coleman or  the igloo maxcold 40 preferably, really need to see one in the flesh though.

I had the opposite problem!! Bought a cool box on t'internet but seller gave internal dimensions (in my defense, they didn't say whether they were int' or ex') so when it arrived it was enormous! Much too big to be practical, it is now the most expensive storage box ever.
