We have just returned from a ten day holiday in Dorset (lovely!). Unfortunately our Aerobed Active deflated 3 times a night (not so lovely!). The bed is not even 3 years old yet and it was £75, we've used it for 2 ten day breaks, a couple of long weekends and about 10 weekends. Has anyone else experienced any similar problems? The guarantee is only 1 year but I have written to Aerobed anyway to see if there is anything they can do.
Nothing is fail safe, i love my Aerobed Active and compared to the ones ive tried in the past you were lucky if they lasted a few nights and usually turfed in the bin on leaving camp.
Nice to know Aerobed didnt just ignore you as its out of warranty.
Mine is great most of the time, but every now and then loses a little bit of air during the night, and in these cases, I find next morning, that the little rubber gasket/seal in the cap has come adrift. It is very fiddly to put it back in place, but once its in, it is air tight again. I'm wondering about glueing the gasket in but don't want to invalidate the guarantee.
I have just had EXACTLY the same thing happen ! i have had mine approx 4 years, guessed it wasnt still under guarantee but contacted Aerobed anyone to ask if they could suggest, they also emailed me straight back and said they would send replacement valves in the post. Great service eh !
ahhh looked for ages for this thread !! Valves arrived, instructions are absolutely rubbish though and just cannot figure out how to replace it ! PJRB, have yours arrived yet and have you managed to fit it???
I've purchased some £15 airbeds that were reduced to £4 odd (including the G O disc card reduction) and, though I've not tried them yet, I was experiencing buyers remorse & planning to replace them with the Aerobed Active. I don't think I'll bother now.
