We've just bought our first caravan (an old one) and it came with a Full size awning, it has no leaks, but the colours have faded, (red, dark grey and light grey) Is it possible to get coloured waterproofing to restore the colours? It's made from Acrylic coated polyester.
This has been discussed previously and as far as I know there's never been a satisfactory answer. The fact that it's acrylic might also complicate matters.
hi as far i as am aware waterproofing only comes in a clear liquid as such, if it is acrylic you may have to put up with the fading or get on Ebay and find yourself another cheepish good one. good luck. gary
Gosh, this thread takes me back a bit In the early 1970's you could buy coloured waterproofer. I remember buying some in the sale at Jacksons of Old Arley, but they didn't have enough of any one colour to cover our tent, so we bought one tin of orange, one of blue & one of green - the roof of our old ridge tent ended up orange, the sides blue, and the doors at both ends were dark green. The waterproofing worked, & we could certainly spot our tent on a crowded campsite
