I'm looking at pumps to bllow up my new Coleman airbed and inflatable sofa and stuff as you do. I don't want to buy one that only works on EHU or off of the car as some sites don't allow you to have your car nearby. I have found 2 types and wondered if anyone has any thoughts on them or other suggestions.

the first is a hand operated one like this http://www.outdoorvalue.co.uk/products/camping-accessories-beds--mats-and-pumps/3945-highlander-whirlwind-hammer-double-action-hand-pump-2.8l.html

and the second is a rechargable Outwell one that will operate off of EHU and the car if needed. http://www.outdoorworlddirect.co.uk/acatalog/outwell_tornado_pump.html

Thanks

+1 on the Outwell re-chargeable. It does our double airbed in about 1 minute. Pre-charge it on mains before you go, sorted. Our has held a charge over 11 days, but there's the 12 v option in the car if needs be. I would think it would also do a sofa.

Ive got a rechargable pump, very similar to the outwell one, mine is a coleman (i think from argos), we dont use EHU either & ive found it to be great. So much better than all that hard work with a hand pump.

I use a Tesco pump which will work off of 240v domstic electricity or the cigarette lighter and have never had any problems with it, I think it cost under £10
