My daughter was towing her caravan at weekend and the handle to stabiliser came loose which caused caravan to wander, she stopped and locked handle back also put some rope around it as an extra precaution. When she arrived home the handle had started to come away again.
What could have caused this and can it be repaired?
Also, it takes quite a bit of force to push the handle down, and get it back up. Was the handle fully down in the first place? Is your daughter used to locking the handle, or is it something new? Might not have pushed hard enough.
It was definately pushed down properly, her boyfriend did it for her before she left. She does know how to do it and before she left site her friends brother did it for her and he also has caravan so understands these things. But it started to come up again and it was tied down just in case which did help a little. She has rang alko but they were not helpful, rang Broad Lane and they have said to check no grease on towball and a couple of other things, which she will get boyfriend to have a look at. If not she will take it into them and get it sorted.

Perhaps have a look here at the Alko support page and open the document "Problem Solving AKS 2004/3004/2700". Check point 3 in the document.
Hi,
Thanks for that, will certainly have a look at it.
