We use a couple of Outwell Directors Chairs. Very comfortable, wide (suits my butt!) and has a handy table and side storage pocket. £50 each but the best camping chair I have ever owned. Well worth the investment.

We've got a couple of Royal Adjustable Chairs. They are comfy, padded, and recline into 3 positions. Ignore the RRP on the link, you can get them much cheaper than that.

After years of buying the cheaper chairs I have now bought a Coleman directors chair with padding, removeable armrests padding (for washing) side table with cup holder and 2 years warranty !! Cost £40 but well worth it, got fed up of the cheaper chairs breaking after one season, sometimes not even that long !!

We've got the Outwell Camper Deluxe chairs and have been pleased with them, used both  at table and as a leisure chair.

However, having parked my ample backside in a Royal Commander, they will be our next chairs when these give out!  Have seen them online for about £26 each lately and been sorely tempted.

Just bought a couple of the Royal Commanders, and I'm really happy with them. They're described as having an extra reinforcement (sorry, can't remember the exact wording) to make them ideal for the 'fuller figure' - i.e. us voluptuous gals!

The Royals are comfortable, but when when folded aren't very compact - if packing space is at a premium they may not be suitable. I know with two of these and our tent the boot of our car would almost be full.

We use high backed folding and reclining garden chairs. They are very slim once folded so don't take much space in the car.

love the commander chairs - also love the royal adjustable chairs - my biggest decision for our main trip is which one of these to take!!

I think that a lot depends on how tall you are.

We tried all of the chairs out at Go Outdoors, and my S.O. went for the Lafuma. It is a good chair and very comfy - but as she is a bit short in height - the Outwell, and other chairs didn't suit her.

I preferred the Outwell, and there was a good Hi Gear one there ..... but I am taller .....
