We tend to use an aluminium slatted table, which I think would be OK left outside.  It folds down into a long bag (rather like the cheap fold down chairs I keep in the boot of the car), and is comparatively light.  If you put a water proof table cloth over it it would keep it better:

I have 3 roll-up aluminium tables, and they can all be left outside.

The one I like the most is made by Lichfield, picked up from Argos, currently at 25.99 GBP, can't fault it at all.

We traded in a HiGear alu roll up table for a Royal version with adjustable length legs for uneven ground. Only problem - its as wobbly as hell! Not helped by my long legged husband catching the cross beams when he sits down. We have bits of card inserted in the legs to reduce the wobble and we are now going to try cross strapping the legs under the table top to reduce the wobble further. We just can't seem to find a square (approx 70 x 70cm) non-wobbly table for 3 people with a table top that folds small and adjustable length legs.

Moral of the story - try before you buy. They are not all exactly the same...

Have seen this one on the Towsure website and while it's a bit pricey at £53.99 compared with others available, it does state that it's weatherproof so should be fine kept outdoors? Well...that's the theory

I've never been able to get me leg over this type, (ageing decrepit), but they do seem to be very popular and also handy considering they fold down into a sort of suitcase effort.

I rarely use a full size table because I camp on my own and either eat off a tray on my lap or use a small folding table...or go to the nearest restaurant

However, if I know I am going to need a proper table I use one of the round plastic patio tables...the type with a hole in the middle for an umbrella. The legs come off and clip into the underside of the table so it then fits nicely on the floor of the boot of my car with everything else piled on top...takes up very little room that way.

I also have a smaller square plastic table which the legs aren't removeable but I again place it upside down on the floor of my car and pile everything else on top. Takes up very little room...but that is with the rear seats folded down...probably wouldn't work with a family, but then I don't know how a family gets everything into a car without folding the seats down anyway.
