There is a couple of Yellowstone stoves in my local Homebase for £4.99, reduced to clear, same as the one in this link http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001W78P0W/ref=nosim/?tag=hotukdeals-21

(It's an Amazon link as Homebase dont have it online)

Unfortunately they dont have any of the gas cartridges left.  What would the butane cartridges look like for this type of stove?  Would Campingaz ones fit it?

I am clueless as we usually take a gas cylinder and double stove, but thought this would be handy for short breaks/a quick brew when the main cooker is cleaned and packed ready to go.

We got one of these in Trago Mills a few weeks back for around a fiver...the gas cannisters are the same as Campingaz ones. We also picked 4 of them up there for £3.99...love a bargain!

So campingaz cylinders will fit this kind of stove?  Or did you mean they just look the same?  Sorry for being thick but I have a fear of blowing ourselves up

yes the campingaz ones will fit as will the mega 1 cartridges by gelert, look at the weight of the cartridge the campingaz ones are 250g and the mega 1 cartridges are 220g so the campingaz ones will burn longer

Raby, the link at the top shows the spec for that stove, it says it uses 150g/hr consumption, that will be on max flame, check the weight of gas in your canister and u can work it out.

Wilkinsons sell those canisters too, at about £1.50 each, not genuine campingaz ones though.

They do say the burn time on the campingaz CP250 fitted to a suitcase stove is something like one hour at full power and three hours at minimum power

I have just used two of these stoves for a five day four night weekend and we used nearly five cans
