If it's raining I was planning on cooking in the canopy bit at the front of my Vango Amazon 600. There's no groundsheet and I have a stand to put my little Camping Gaz Cooker on. Does that sound ok?

We cook in the canopy of our Icarus 500. It's open at the end and we keep the cooker slightly in from the side and towards the outsie. We've never had any problem.

That is what most people do. Keep the stove away from the fabric & don't block the doorway.

We bought a thing that looks like a 'toilet tent' as our 'kitchen' when it was on offer at Argos. Great thing is that you can stand in it to cook and all the smells stay in there and not the main tent.

PS it's big enough for our 3-way fridge, kitchen unit with storage, double Coleman duel-fuel rig and a single burner Coleman sportster and another small table... and it even has a 'window'
