Help! I've been searching for what seems like hours.

I am after a tent carpet 200cm x 400 cm for the living area. I like the outwell carpets, won't ever waste money on a vango one again and have no experience of any others.

Does anyone have a clue which outwell (or any other good make ie not Vango!!) carpet that may come close to this measurement for my non outwell tent!!

Hi,

Not sure if this is what you want but we were in Decathlon and picked up two of their travel rugs - two for £12. Am not sure of the exact size but we thought they would do this year rather than spalshing out for the hartford carpet at £50+.

They come with a waterproof backing and seem quite big.

Thank you but I dont want picnic rugs, find they slip about and OH and child trip over them!

That was my worry too but we've spent enough this year on camping bits. Decided to buy the hartford extn over the carpet.

Hi Jacqszoo. I have a Vango Icarus 500, and like you I didn't care much for the carpet. I bought the tent from Go Outdoors, so at the time I ended up buying a Hi Gear Mojave 5 carpet to go in it instead. It was too large, but I knew it would be easy to turn it under. It is lovely and soft (and not so prone to wrinkling like the Outwell carpets), and it stood up to some serious sweeping without bobbling. The Mojave measures 480x380cm, but it tapers in at one end – but as I said it would probably do if you turned it under.

We looked ay the Vango carpets when upgrading our tent and couldn't believe how horrible they are, similar material to old sacks!! We've got Royal tent carpet and it is very soft and warm. Would recommend if you can find one a similar size.

The Outwell carpet that comes the nearest your requirements is the one that fits the Minnesota 6

slightly over 4m wide by 2.4m deep.Could you let it go under the inner a bit

or have a look here to see if anything is suitable.

Thank you Sue - I had narrowed it down to the minny or the Yukon river. Think I will look at Hi Gear etc and see if anything has come closer

If you are concerned about rugs slipping about use some stick on velcro works a treat!

I will just say that the Outwell carpets are first class.We have had ours 3 years and its like new.

Im looking for a carpet to fit the living area of a Cabanon Barbados which is 3.5m x 2m. Loads of carpets 3m in length but not 3.5m. I have a 2007 Outwell BL4 carpet in the check they first brought out and love it so ideally looking for something to match or failing that the latest green carpet Outwell do.
