Just about to buy a roof box for my aygo, can't decide whether to go for Karrite 320 (130 x 85cm) or the 380 (150x 90) - roof size measures 160 long x 100 wide. We also already own a mont blanc roof box which used to go on a Fiat Doblo and is about 210/220 cm long which I could put on the aygo, but would overhang like mad! Has anyone any advice/experience with a small car and a roof box? Single mum with 8 and 12 yr old boys going camping
Check the roof load capacity of the car first as you may be automatically limited to the smaller box! You have to take the weight of the roof bars and the box into account. If you're within the roof's payload limit then get the biggest box you can!!!!

Take it easy around corners, I had a box on my Matiz and does not feel very stable around bends.
I seem to recall that the Matiz was another car that did the Mercedes A-class falling over thingy...........

Thanks to everyone who replied. I have gone for Thule roof bars (761 bars and 1498 foot pack and another bit) which were incorrectly fitted twice at Halfords! They are now refunding my fitting fee, and a Karrite Odyssey 380 roof box which fits on the roof exactly. Now all I need is some good weather!
