I only just realised thats to fill standard bottles not the glasflow refillable, I wouldnt want to do that without a pressure gauge of some form.

I can imagine filling it only for it to vent into the car whilst paying for it.

why would it vent ?you turn it off just like normal. pressure guage not neccasary as its liquid you put in .you know the max like a petrol can .but i say put in a bit less . if you fill a petrol can to the top when it get hot it expands better to fill to an inch down . so on a 12 litre bottle put in 11 besafe .

It seems the company selling that adaptor on e-b are no longer listing it and can't find anything similar, anyone have any ideas where I could get one ?

try 07710344320  also called alan. i have one of his and several friends have them as well. nice compact kit. also does another kit with adaptors for most of europe. spain as just started using the new adaptor so not sure if alan does it. you can tell him im gave you his number cant do any harm.
