After yet another annoying trip with a cheapo crappy gas BBQ, Hubby and I have agreed we want a Cobb. I've got a small Party Grill already btw, and it's great for short trips but we want something more charcoal based now. No, I definately don't want a Cadac (too big for a start...) so please don't go there! I just wanted to ask if anyone had seen any bargains around, and what accessories were worth buying.

The Cobb is ace, we use ours every time we go camping in the van. It packs away small too. Not too hard to clean either if you pour hot water in the well after you have finished cooking with it, and that Cif power cream to help degrease it is the best ive used ever!
As for accessories we have the pizza plate and grill that goes on top and the Cobb Grill Frying Pan / Skillet
you can use the frying pan/skillet on the gas cooker too it works great. Was going to buy the wok but didnt really need it tbh. we have also got the Cobb Grill Griddle too for sausages and steak or fish etc.
Can't help with a best price, just google it..

You can get a discount on the Cobb on this very site - just go to the UKCS shop on the member's page.
You won't find it cheap wherever you get it but you'll never regret the expense. Mine goes everywhere!

I ordered ours through the link on here, I went for the top deal that came with everything. We love the Cobb (well hubby didn't at first as he had trouble lighting it so it's my job now lol). We even use it at home now to cook our sunday roast with roasties and yorkshire puds.

Don't worry - the price of Cobbs never seems to vary much. Have yet to see a bargain anyway!

I had been toying with the idea of a Cobb for some time but then i recently developed Coeliacs disease on top of Diabetes so this made up my mind to go the whole hog and get the lot which i did with the UKcampsite discount and i paid £156 for the full Cobb set with all the bits and bobs.
We got back from 2 weeks in the New Forest last weekend and what a fantastic addition it is...............
Roast Chicken and jacket potatoes were particularly delicious and i cooked loads of other things on it and it went down very well with my wife and son.
To someone with Coeliacs disease it was a great boon as it gave us an extra option at mealtimes.
Regards
Tony
PS
I didn't use the Wok or the probe..............

Just seen this one on a certain auction site: Item number 330456717742. Delivered is just under £80 so a bit cheaper than some I've seen.

we've used the probe on the roast beef we were cooking and it worked pretty well. However after using the lighter a couple of times it is now broken, the glue that holds the end in melted, the end fell out and it's just stopped working, so bought a better one from Lidl for £1.99. Still haven't used the paella dish, the grill or the frying pan, but hope to do so while we're away in France
