Indeed & I find it all interesting because I have an interest in the subject, but I hope those without any technical knowledge or interest in the technical side of things won't believe they need very expensive battery chargers when clearly they don't. An ordinary Halfords battery charger on slow charge as suggested, will do the job.
Thats ok Tentz if you have a 110Ah battery or less. Like me i've just invested in a 170Ah leisure battery and my Halfords Fully Automatic Battery Charger will only do up to 110Ah. Therefore i will need a higher rated charger and those with a larger than110Ah battery. A normal or ordinary charger will not do...

Ok i've doing a www. search and asking a few questions and taking notes as i think that the CTEK Multi XS25000 is way too much money for a smart charger, even if it is very good. So what did i find? A smart charger from ring that does up to 200Ah. It's the Ring RSC16 Smart Charge Battery Charger and i found it for  £60.99  Thats more like it eh?

Looking back through the posts i see that fatbloke28 uses one already.

He was also the first to talk about charging them too.

Heres some info and it looks like it does all that the CTEK Multi XS25000 does.

CLICK HERE Ring RSC16 Smart Charge Battery Charger

I think i'm going to buy one myself too as £60.99 is much kinder to my pocket than  the £200+ the other one cost.

How do the rest of you charge and maintain your leisure batteries?

Is a smart charger the way?

I think so...

Edit..

Found here also CLICK HERE cheaper.£55.99

the 16amps being less than the ctek just means it will take a little longer to charge.
the recondition mode is a little annoying when you think you just need a quick boost but the charger senses a noticeable drop in volts and recondition mode cuts in but otherwise a capable charger but note if you just switch it on it and forget to select the amps it reverts to a safe 2 amp charge which will take forever to charge a big battery
