Hello folks

I need to get an electric air pump. Which sort would you kind knowledable peeps recommend? A 12v that plugs into a cigarette lighter, a mains one, a battery one or one that has dual adapters for mains and 12v? Are there any brands or types to avoid?

We'll probably mainly use it for pumping up airbeds whilst camping, however it could end up beoing used at home if the kids have sleepovers etc. At the moment we haven't got EHU, but are looking into getting set up.

Thanks xxx

think ours is just a cheapo one at about £5 from Tesco, Asda or wherever.. makes a bit of a din but works ok and never let us down so far... better than all that 'foot pumping' lark IMO.

I've got the 240v (which I’ve been using for a couple of years) and 12v one from Aldi both work perfectly, and if I remember right they come with 3 years guarantee. They may still have some in your local store if you’re lucky.
